TV/FILM Sales & Distribution Executive
This course is designed to provide an insider's view of the Television sales and distribution business and its varied dynamics, it will also seek to prepare participants to more effectively market their projects. Participants will be introduced to the processes and players involved in the buying , selling and marketing of film and television productions, both fiction and non-fiction; from feature-length presentations to short films and children’s programs. The objective of the course is to train individuals to fill entry-level TV/Film sales and distribution jobs. The course incorporates classroom lectures, group and individual exercises, role-playing, guest lectures and class discussions. Participants will also benefit from the knowledge and experience of presenters who will share practical and helpful sales and distribution tips and offer years of insight on how to successfully sell media products in the domestic and international marketplace.
TV/FILM and New Media Administrator
This course is designed to provide an emerging and establish TV/Film industry professionals with training on the fundamentals of Business Affairs, on which all successful productions rest. This involves a thorough understanding of all the basic contracts that are used to in the financing of TV/Film productions as well as in depth knowledge of the various funding application that must be completed in a timely manner in order to secure funding for any given productions. Students will also become knowledgeable about various government production related programs such as the Tax Credit and CAVCO.
TV/FILM and New Media Producer
This program is designed to teach the fundamentals of effective production management on a variety of different TV and Film production projects. Students will learn how to coordinate and manage the day-to-day activities that are essential to a TV and Film production. Courses taught in the program will cover such topics as hiring, personnel supervision, conflict resolution and ethical conduct. Attendees will also acquire skills in negotiations, contract construction, budget analysis, etc.
